what are decomposers? how their mode of nutrition is different from other animals .

Decomposers consume dead organisms and break them down into simple chemical components like carbon, nitrogen and other nutrients which are essential for living organisms. Mostly animals those who are dependent upon other animals for their nutrition (heterotrophs) usually kill the animals before eating (except parasites). But decomposers feed on animals those are already killed or dead due to some other reasons.
