why can't we live without oxygen while other gases like carbon dioxide and nitrogen are present?

Solution

This is because we require oxygen for breathing. After breathing in oxygen, it goes inside our cells to break down glucose in order to release stored energy from it. In this process, carbon dioxide is released as a byproduct.
Thus, we cannot live without oxygen.
