He then proceeded to take over Ranthambore in 1300-1301 CE from the Rajput king Rana Hamir Deva. He moved his way to Mewar and in 1303 CE, he captured its capital, Chittor from the Guhilot King, Ratan Singh. Allauddin renamed Chittor to Khizrabad, after his son, Khizr Khan.
