Pole 2 is 13 feet longer than Pole 3 and 9 feet shorter than Pole 1. The length of Pole 3 is 18 feet.
What is the length of Pole 1?

Length of Pole 3 = 18 feet
Length of Pole 2 = 13 feet more than Pole 3
= (18 + 13) feet = 31 feet
Length of Pole 2 is 9 feet shorter than Pole 1.
So, Pole 1 is 9 feet longer than Pole 2.
Length of Pole 1 = 31 + 9 = 40 feet
Therefore, the length of Pole 1 is 40 feet.
