The solutions of a trigonometric equation for which

0 ≤ x < 2π are called principal solution.

For eg: sin x = 12, In the interval [0, 2π)

There exists two values of x for which sin x = 12

i.e π6 and 5π6 which lie in [ 0,2 π) &

Sinπ6=12

Sin5π6=12

Principal solutions of the equation sinx=12
are π6 & 5π6
