Q. A bottle is filled 10% in one hour and 8% of the water present in the bottle at the time is emptied in the next one hour. If this process is repeated once again, find the percentage of the bottle filled with water.

The correct option is C 17.66%

The bottle will be filled 10% in the first hour. In the next hour, 8% of it. i.e. 10×(8100)=0.8% of the bottle is emptied. The remaining water after the second hour is 9.2%. Again, in the third hour 10% bottle is filled, it becomes 19.2%. Now, Again 8% of it i.t 19.2×(8100)=1.536% is emptied in the fourth hour so the remaining water is 19.21.536=17.66%


बोतल पहले घंटे में 10% भर जाएगी। अगले घंटे में, इसका 8%। यानी 10×(8100)=0.8% बोतल खाली हो जाती है। दूसरे घंटे के बाद बचा हुआ पानी 9.2% है। पुनः तीसरे घंटे में 10% बोतल भर जाती है, यह 19.2% हो जाती है। अब, इसका फिर से 8% यानी 19.2×(8100)=1.536% चौथे घंटे में खाली हो जाता है, इसलिए शेष पानी 19.21.536=17.66% है।
