Open in App
Solution

Radius =7cm
Height of cylindrical portion =137=6 cm
Curved surface area of cylindrical portion can be calculated as follows:
=2πrh
=2×227×7×6=264 cm2
Curved surface area of hemispherical portion can be calculated as follows:
=2πr2
=2×227×7×7
=308 cm2
Total surface area
= Curved surface area of hemispherical portion+Curved surface area of cylindrical portion
=308+264=572 sq cm
