Factorise the following, using the identity, $a^{2} - 2 a b + b^{2} = (a - b)^{2}$

$x^{2} - 8 x + 16$

We have,
$x^{2} - 8 x + 16 = x^{2} - 2. x .4 + 4^{2} = (x - 4)^{2} [∵ a^{2} - 2 a b + b^{2} = (a - b)^{2}] = (x - 4) (x - 4)$
