Ram is running around a park which is quadrilateral in shape, with dimension of its two adjacent side being 10 cm and 5 cm respectively. The other two adjacent side are parallel to the sides of 10 cm and 5 cm respectively. Find the total distance covered by Ram during this run.

The correct option is B 30 cm
Since, the opposite sides of the park are parallel to each other, the park in which ram is running is in the shape of a parallelogram like shown below.


Since, in a parallelogram the opposite sides are parallel and equal, the other two sides of the park will be equal to 10 cm and 5 cm respectively.

Now, the distance travelled by the Ram during his running will be equal to the perimeter of this parallelogram.

Hence, distance travelled
= sum of all the sides of the park
= 10 cm + 5 cm + 10 cm + 5 cm
= 30 cm
