Solution

The correct option is A ₹676

Weight of rice = 5 kg 400 g

= 5 + (400 / 1000) kg

= 5.400 kg

Cost of 1kg rice = ₹50

Total cost of rice = ₹50 × 5.4 = ₹270

Weight of sugar = 2 kg 50 g

= 2 + (50 / 1000) kg

= 2.050 kg

Cost of 1kg sugar = ₹40

Total cost of sugar = ₹40 × 2.05 = ₹82

Weight of flour = 10 kg 800 g

= 10 + (800 / 1000) kg

= 10.800 kg

Cost of 1kg flour = ₹30

Total cost of flour = ₹30 × 10.80 = ₹324

Total cost of his purchases = ₹(270 + 82 + 324) = ₹676
