Question

Rohan's mother gave him $$3x{y}^{2}$$ and his father gave him $$5(x{y}^{2}+2)$$. Out of this total money he spent $$(10-3x{y}^{2})$$ at his birthday party. How much money is left with him?

Solution

Given that
Amount given to Rohan by his mother $$=Rs. 3x{y}^{2}$$
Amount given to Rohan by his father $$=Rs. 5(x{y}^{2}+2)$$
Total amount Rohan have $$[(3x{y}^{2})+(5x{y}^{2}+10)]=Rs. (8x{y}^{2}+10)$$
Total amount spent by Rohan $$=Rs. (10-3x{y}^{2})$$
After spending Rohan have left money
$$=RS.(8x{y}^{2}+10)-Rs. (10-3x{y}^{2})=Rs. (8x{y}^{2}+3x{y}^{2}+10-10)=Rs. 5x{y}^{2}$$
