Surface area of cabinet:
Length of the cabinet, $l = 2 m$
The breadth of the cabinet, $b = 1 m$
Height of cabinet, $h = 1.5 m$
The surface area of the cabinet $= l b + 2 (b h + h l)$
$= 2 \times 1 + 2 (1 \times 1.5 + 1.5 \times 2) = 2 + 2 (1.5 + 3.0) = 2 + 9.0 = 11$
Thus,the required surface area of the cabinet is $11 m^{2}$ .
