Solution

Let the Rahul scored $$x$$ runs

Given that Sachin scored twice as many runs as Rahul.

Therefore, The runs scored by Sachin is $$2x$$

Given that Their total runs fell two short of double century.

Therefore, $$x+2x=200-2$$

$$\implies 3x=198$$

$$\implies x=66$$
