The correct option is B 4000
The proportion of Shail's and Neena's investment is-
5000:3000=50003000=53=5:3

Therefore the proportion of investments is 5:3.
The profit must also be shared in the same proportion.
Let Shail's profit be 5x and that of Neena, 3x.
Then, 5x+3x=6400 as total profit is 6400
8x=6400
x=800
Hence, Shail's share =5x=4000 rupees.
