Shalu cycles to her school at an average of $12$ km/hr. It takes her $20$ minutes to reach the school. If she wants to reach her school in $15$ minutes, what should be her average speed?

$S p e e d = \frac{D i s t a n c e}{T i m e}$
$\Rightarrow D i s t a n c e = S p e e d \times T i m e$

So, distance to the school $= 12 k m / h r \times 20 m i n u t e s = 12 k m / h r \times \frac{20}{60} h o u r = 4$ km
So, to cover distance $4 k m$ in $15$ minutes,

$S p e e d = \frac{4 k m}{15 m i n} = \frac{4 k m}{(\frac{15}{60}) h o u r} = 16 k m / h r$
