Simplify and find the value  of $$4x+x-2x^ {2}+x-1$$, when $$x=-1$$.


Solution

Expression $$=-2x^2+6x-1$$ when $$x=-1$$ it becomes $$-2(-1)^2+6(-1)-1=-2-6-1=-9$$.
