First we have to remove the small brackets, or parentheses, ( ), then the curly brackets, { }, and then the square brackets, [ ].
Therefore, we have
x² - [3x + {2x - (x² - 1)} + 2]
= x² - [3x + {2x - x² + 1} + 2]
= x² - [3x + 2x - x² + 1+ 2]
= x² - [5x - x² + 3]
= x² - 5x + x² - 3
= 2x² - 5x - 3
