The addition of oil in saponification reaction generates more heats by producing glycerol and solid soap as products and the reaction scheme is expressed below,

Glycerol Trioleate + 3NaOH 3CH3(CH2)7CH=CH(CH2)7COONa (soap) + Glycerol
Hence the liquid X is Oil and Solid Y is soap.

Answer is Option (B) Oil, Soap
