Solve $3 (x + 6) + 2 (x + 3) = 64$ for the value of $x$ .

Solution

Given, $3 (x + 6) + 2 (x + 3) = 64$
$\Rightarrow 3 x + 18 + 2 x + 6 = 64$
$\Rightarrow 5 x + 24 = 64$
Subtract $24$ on both the sides, we get
$5 x = 40$
On dividing $5$ on both the sides, we get
$x = 8$
