The correct option is C x=3,y=4
2x+3y=18 .......... (1)
x+y=7 ......... (2)
Multiplying equation (2) by 2, we get
2x+2y=14 ........ (3)
Subtracting (3) from (2), we get
y=4
Using this in x+y=7, we have
x+4=7
or x=74=3
