The correct option is B $(3, - 1)$
$x + y = 2$ ----- (1)
$2 x - y = 7$ ----- (2)
___________________
$3 x = 9$
$x = \frac{9}{3} = 3$
Put the value of x in equation (1), we get
$x + y = 2$
$3 + y = 2$
$y = 2 - 3$
$y = - 1$
Therefore the solution is $(3, - 1)$
