Solve the following pair of linear (simultaneous) equations by the method of elimination:
$$2x+3y=8$$
$$4x+6y=7$$


Solution

$$2x+3y=8\_\_\_(i)$$
$$4x+6y=7\_\_\_(ii)$$
eq.$$(i)$$ and eq.$$(ii)$$ are parallel
$$\therefore$$ infinite solution are possible.
