When a body is a body said to undergo uniform acceleration? A bus decreases its speed from 72 km/hr to 54 km/hr in 2 hours.Calculate the acceleration.

Dear Student ,
If a body travels in a straight line and its velocity changes by equal amounts in equal intervals of time, however small these time intervals may be, then the body is said to be in uniform acceleration.
?given, u=72km/hr
v=54km/hr
t=2hr
we know that, v=u+at
so, a=v-u/t
then, a=54-72/2
a=-10km/hr*hr
here negative sign indicates retardation .
