Very cold habitats are called polar habitats. Characteristics of polar habitats are:
• They are located in the north and south pole of the earth.
• The polar region of north pole is called Arctic and the polar region of south pole is called Antarctica.
• There are only two seasons in the polar habitats, summer and winter.
• The ground of polar habitats is mostly always frozen.
• The animals live in caves or holes in the ground as in snow, trees are not found.
• Mostly carnivorous animals are found in polar habitats.
• The vegetation of polar habitats is Tundra. The tundra is ground which is always frozen.
