(ii) 0.164: Here, 4 is a natural number and 0.16 is a positive rational number.Hence, it is a surd.

83=8686: Here, 6 is a natural number and 8 is a positive rational number.Hence, it is a surd.

(iv) -5 : Here, -5 is not a positive rational number.Hence, it is not a surd.
