No, I do not agree with this statement.
(1) The MU curve slopes downwards from left to right and it has a negative slop as shown in the diagram.
(2) The MU curve has a negative slop which indicates inverse relationship between the stock of the commodity and MU.
(3) The law of Diminishing Marginal Utility (DMU) states that the additional benefit which a person derives from a given increase in his stock of a thing diminishes with every increase in the stock that he already has.
(4) It means that the MU goes on diminishing with an increase in the stock of commodity consumed.
(5) It means that the intensity of want decreases.
(6) With increases in stock of commodity,the satisfaction derived decreases, so it has a negative slope.
