Solution

<!--td {border: 1px solid #ccc;}br {mso-data-placement:same-cell;}--> Vinegar and oil are immiscible in each other. Vinegar being denser than oil settles at the bottom of the container in which the mixture is kept.

This mixture should first be transferred to a separating funnel and allowed some time to completely settle. Then, the stopcock of the separating funnel should be slowly opened, thus allowing the denser liquid i.e. the vinegar to flow out into a beaker. Once all the vinegar has been separated out into a beaker, the stopcock should be closed so that no oil flows out. After this, the oil should be collected in a separate beaker.
