Solution

The correct option is A Dense regular connective tissue.
Connective tissues are the tissues which binds, supports, joins or seperates other tissues or organs. Based on the content connective tissues are of 5 major types, they are, areolar tissue, dense regular connective tissue, adipose tissue, skeletal tissue, and vascular tissue.
Among these, tendons and ligament are the examples of dense regular connective tissue, which is made up of 3 components: fiber producing cells or fibroblast cells, fibers, and an extracellular fluid matrix. Fibroblast cells helps to reconstruct and produce collegen fibres of the tissue. fibers are of two types: collagen fibers and elastin fibers. Collagen fibers gives strength and also replaces dead skin cells, whereas elastin fibers provides elasticity and helps the skin to stretch or contract. Finally, extracellular fluid matrix is a jelly like composed of water, carbohydrate, and protein molecules thus together forms as ground substance that provides structural and biochemical support to the surrounding cells.
So, the correct answer is option A.
