Area of the base of the of a right circular cone=πr2
Therefore,
πr2=154227×r2=154r2=154×722r2=49r=7 cm
Now, r = 7 cm and h = 14 cm
Then, slant height of the cone, l=r2+h2
=72+142=49+196=245=75 cm
Hence, the curved surface area of the cone=πrl
=227×7×75 cm2=1545 cm2
