Solution

Atmosphere- The layers of gases that cover the surface of the earth is called the atmosphere.

The role of the atmosphere in determining weather conditions-

  • The amount of water vapour in the atmosphere determines the rate of evaporation, that in turn determines the consumption of water from water bodies.
  • The collection of water vapours results in the formation of clouds that falls back on earth in the form of rain, snow, and hail.
  • The amount of greenhouse gases increases and in turn the temperature of the air increases, which causes winds to flow.
