Solution

The correct option is B Acetylcholine

Peripheral nervous system is divided into somatic and autonomic nervous system. The autonomic nervous system is further categorised as sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system. Acetylcholine is the neurotransmitter secreted by both pre- and post-ganglionic parasympathetic neurons while epinephrine/nor epinephrine is released by sympathetic postganglionic neurons (the adrenergic neurons). The sympathetic preganglionic neurons release acetylcholine. This makes acetylcholine a common neurotransmitter of PNS. Thus, option B is correct and options A and C incorrect. GABA is the inhibitory neurotransmitter that reduces the activity of neurons in brain upon binding.
