Alkyl halides are reactive than aryl halides, as the halogen is readily available in alkyl halides than in aryl halides due to the presence of partial double bonds between the halogen and the benzene group and resonance also stabilizes the aryl halides. Among the alkyl halides, more stable the carbocation more is its reactivity, tertiary carbocation bearing halides are more reactive than secondary and primary.
