Please note that the chemical formula of sucrose is C12H22O11 . The molar mass, that is the mass of one mole of sucrose is 342g. We are given that the cost of sugar is Rs. 20/kg. Thus
Cost of 1kg or 1000g of sugar = Rs 20
Cost of 1g of sugar = Rs (20 / 1000) = Rs (1/50)
Cost of 342g of sugar = Rs ( 342 / 50) = Rs 6.84
Thus cost per mole is Rs 6.84.
