Radius $= \frac{35}{4} m$

Radius including the track $= \frac{35}{4} + \frac{7}{2} = \frac{49}{4} m$

Area of the track $= π ((\frac{49}{4})^{2} - (\frac{35}{4})^{2}) = \frac{22}{7} \times \frac{84}{4} \times \frac{14}{4} = 231 m^{2}$
