The dimensions of an acid container kept in a lab, that is completely filled with an acid, is as given. If half of the acid from the container is used, how much acid will remain?
Length of the container = 15 cm
Width of the container = 12 cm
Height of the box = 30 cm
Volume = length×width×height
= 15 ×12× 30= 5400 cu cm
1000 cu cm = 1 litre
5400 cu cm = 5.4 litres.
Half of the acid is used, hence, 5.42 = 2.7 litres of acid is used.
Therefore, the remaining acid in the container = 2.7 liters.
