Let the age of daughter be $x$ year & father's age be $y$ years

$y=24+x⟶\left(i\right)$

$y+4=3(x+4)$

$\Rightarrow y=3x+8⟶\left(ii\right)$

from $\left(i\right)$ & $\left(ii\right)$

$24+x=3x+8$

$\Rightarrow 16=2x\Rightarrow x=8$ years

$\therefore$ $y=32$ years.
