Solution

The correct option is B rugae
Mucosa (mucous membrane) is the innermost layer lining the lumen of the alimentary canal. Since it secretes mucus to lubricate the inner lining of the gut it is called mucosa . This layer forms irregular folds called rugae in the stomach. The small intestine is divided into three parts. The C- shaped structure of the small intestine is called duodenum. The hepatopancreatic ampulla (ampulla of Vater) opens into the duodenum. The point where the ampulla of Vater opens into the duodenum is called the papilla of Vater. The finger-like projections in the small intestine are called villi and they increase the surface area for the absorption of food. Fissure is a narrow opening due to cracking or splitting or breakage. In the alimentary canal, irregular bowel movements can cause wear and tear of the gut leading to the formation of fissures.
