Question

The law, which gives the direction of force on a current carrying conductor placed in a magnetic field is (a) right hand thumb rulw (b) left hand thumb rule (c) fleming left hand rule (d) fleming right hand rule

Solution

Dear student, Fleming's left hand rule: When an electric current passes through a straight wire, an external magnetic field is applied across that flow, the wire experiences a force perpendicular both to the field and to the direction of the current flow. The Fleming's left hand rule can be used to determine the direction of the force, magnetic field and current.?A left hand can be held, so that the thumb, first finger and second finger are held mutually perpendicular to each other. The thumb represents the direction of Motion resulting from the force on the conductor. The first finger represents the direction of the magnetic Field. The second finger represents the direction of the Current. Option C. Regards
