The length , breadth and height of a room in a house are 8 cm, 6 cm and 4 m respectively. The house owner decides to paint the four walls of the room at the cost of $Rs.0.045perc{m}^2$ odf wall . How much will the owner spend in painting the walls?

Out of the four walls to be painted,

$2$ wall have the dimensions $(8\times 4)$ cm

and other $2$ walls have the dimensions $(6\times 4)$ cm

So, total wall area to be painted $=2(8\times 4)+2(6\times 4)$

$=2\left(32\right)+2\left(24\right)$

$=64+48$

$=112$ $c{m}^2$

Rate of cost of painting $=0.045$ $/c{m}^2$

So, total cost $=0.045\times 112$

$=Rs.5.04$
