Let, the dimensions of the rectangle be $xcm,ycm$ respectively

Given that, $x=2y$

and Perimeter $=48cm$

i.e., $2(x+y)=48$

$⟹2(2y+y)=48$

$⟹6y=48$

$⟹y=\frac{48}{6}=8$

and $x=2y=2\times 8=16$

$\therefore$ the dimensions of the rectangle are $16cm,8cm$ respectively
