The length of a rectangular plot is 50 1/2 m and the width of the plot is 20m less than the length. Find the area of the plot.

Answer :

Length of rectangular plot = 5012 =100 +12 = 1012 m
And

The width of the plot is 20 m less than the length. So

Width of plot = 1012 - 20 = 101 - 402 = 612 m

And we know

Area of rectangular plot = Length × Width

Then

Area of rectangular plot = 1012 ×612 = 61614 = 1540.25 m2 ( Ans )
