Step 1: Finding the decrease in length equivalent to 1212%.

Original length of wire =150m

Converting mixed fraction into improper fraction 1212%=12×2+12=252%

Therefore, decrease in value will be,

1212%of150m=252%×150252×100×150=25×15032×1002=754754=18.75m

Hence, the wire is to be decreased by 18.75m

Step 2: Finding the new length.

Original length - Value to be decreased

150m-18.75m=131.25m

Hence, the new length of wire is 131.25m.
