$2 x - 3 y = 8$

$\Rightarrow y = \frac{2 x}{3} - \frac{8}{3} [∴ m_{1} = \frac{2}{3}]$

$- x + 4 y = 2$

$\Rightarrow y = \frac{x}{4} + \frac{1}{2} [∴ m_{2} = \frac{1}{4}]$

$∵ m_{1} \times m_{2} \neq - 1$
