Solution

The correct option is A The tropical rain forests have preponderance of angiosperms, while the temperate one have preponderance of gymnosperms.
Biodiversity is an integral part of an ecosystem. There is various ecosystem present in the different region. An ecotone is a region where the two different ecosystem meets and interacts with each other. A tropical rain forest is located roughly within the latitudes 28 degrees north or south of the equator (in the equatorial zone between the Tropic of Cancer and Tropic of Capricorn). The tropical rain forest is a forest of tall trees in a region of year-round warmth. An average of 50 to 260 inches (125 to 660 cm.) of rain falls yearly. A tropical rain forest has a diverse range of flora and fauna. Seventy percent of the plants in the rainforest are trees, among which most of them are angiosperms.
The temperate rain forest is characterized by precipitation. At least 200 cm of it, perhaps up to 350 centimeters in warmer areas. Big coniferous trees dominate this habitat, including Douglas fir and Western red cedar, Mountain hemlock, Western hemlock, Sitka spruce and Lodgepole pine. In addition to the trees, mosses and lichens are very common, often growing as epiphytes. Epiphytes are also common in tropical rain forests; the common denominator is the moist environment, that puts minimal water stress on plants without roots.
Thus, the correct answer is option A.
