  1. The optic axes of two Polaroids are inclined at an angle of 45° with each other.unpolarised light of intensity I° being incident on the first polaroid emerges from the second polaroid. What is the intensity of the emergent light?

Firstly the unpolarised light I° passes through the first polaroid ,then intensity of the polarised light become I° /2 ,after passing through the second polaroid I° /2 will be multiplied by cos^2( θ)=1/2 (by malus law),so final intensity will be I°/4 (answer)
