The angle made by the sector representing apples on the centre of the circle is 90. This angle is made by 180 apples or 180 units. 180 units subtends an angle of 90.

400 units will subtend an angle of 90180×400=200

Thus the angle made by the sector representing apples on the centre of the circle is 200.

Total angle subtended at the centre of the circle is 360.
angle subtended by the sector representing pears at the centre of the circle =x
90+200+x=360
x=70
Angle subtended by the sector representing pears is 70.

As 200 equals 400 units,
70 equals 400200×70=140 units
Number of pears sold at the fruit store =140
