Given,
U(x,y)=cos(x+y)
Now, the relation betweeen Conservative force and Potential energy is given by F=(Ux^i+Uy^j+Uz^k)
Since, the given potential energy is a function of x and y.
we can write that,
F=Fx^i+Fy^j=(Ux^i+Uy^j) .........(1)
X component of force:
Fx=Ux=sin(x+y)=12

Y component of force:
Fy=Uy=sin(x+y)=12
