According to question,

ten years ago ,

$\frac{4x-10}{5x-10}$ $=$ $\frac{3}{4}$

$(4x-10)4=(5x-10)3$

$16x-40=15x-30$

$x=10$

So their present ages are $4\left(10\right)=40$ , $5\left(10\right)=50$.
