The correct option is A2 Let α be the common root.
x2−6x+a=0⋯(1)
Let roots of above equation are α,4β.
x2−cx+6=0⋯(2)
Let roots of above equation are α,3β.
⇒α+4β=6,α(4β)=a ⇒α+3β=c,α(3β)=6 ∴a=8
Hence, from equation (1) ⇒x2−6x+8=0⇒x=2,4 ∴α=2,β=1
