The question was What is the additive inverse of 2/3? The options were

a) 3/2

b) 2

c) -2/3

d) 1

per my reasoning the answer is (c). But the solution is given as (d) i.e 1 and the explanation is given as ((3/2)-1 ) -2 = ((3/2)-1 ) -2 =94

Please help me to understand the solution and why my answer is wrong.

The additive inverse of a number 'a' is the number that, when added to 'a', yields zero.

Hence your answer is absolutely right.
The additive inverse of 2/3 is -2/3.

The solution (d) is probably given because of a printing mistake.

The answer is definitely (c).
